Our Vapor Corrosion Inhibitor (VCI) Technology contains Volatile Corrosion Inhibitors (also known as Vapor phase Corrosion Inhibitors) with excellent vapor phase properties and contact corrosion inhibition.
The film, bag, paper or cardboard is impregnated with the Vapor Corrosion Inhibitor when produced. Some of the VCI migrate to the surface of the film when the metal component is placed inside the bag. When the bag is closed, the interior fills with the VCI vapors and the VCI molecules attach themselves to the metal surface, creating a passive layer that prevents oxidation from happening.
There is enough VCI in the packaging material to re-saturate the packaging if it becomes perforated or if the bag is opened. Once the component is taken out of the bag, this passive layer evaporates and leaves the surface as dry and clean as it was before being packaged.

All our products are made from natural substances which are classified on the Commission Regulation (EU) No 10/2011 for food contact. Our products are also specified in the FDA CFR 21 (Food Additives Status List) and they also comply with the German health & safety protocol TRGS 615. These natural substances are widely used in body care products.
